REGISTRATION
How do I register?
All Runner and Zombie tickets can be purchased in advance online at
https://www.raceentry.com/races/zombie-warrior-run-and-1-mile-fun-run/2017/register
Please note there are only a limited number of zombie spots available. Once they are filled, you may only participate as a runner. As more runners register I will be able to open up additional zombie spots if necessary.
How It Works
The choice is yours:
-Be a Runner (human) and run from the Zombies.
-Be a Zombie and pull the runner’s flags as they run through your “Zombie Zone.”
Runners wear 3 flags on a belt (provided by The Jake Offutt Foundation). Protect these flags, they’re your “life”. Zombies are staged throughout the course ready to chase you and steal your flags. Try to survive, if you can… lose your flags, and you can still finish the course as a runner.
If you are interested in being a Runner, please see the Runner Information page from the drop down menu under Events, Zombie Warrior Run or CLICK HERE.
If you are interested in being a Zombie, please see the Zombie Information page from the drop down menu under Events, Zombie Warrior Run or CLICK HERE.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
RULES
You’ll be given a race bib in your race packet. You must wear it while on the course, or you’ll be tackled to the ground and left for the Zombies to devour.
DO NOT hit, trip, tackle, push, grab, or intentionally harm another runner OR Zombie. Zombies are not allowed to touch runners, just flags! Only take 1 flag per runner.
Most importantly, remember that this is a charity FUN RUN! We hope you have an amazing time!
If you sign up as a runner, you finish as a runner. If you sign up as a Zombie, you finish as a Zombie. If you are a runner and have all your flags removed, you do not take on the role of a Zombie.
Runners must race during their registration time. It is recommended you line up 10 minutes prior to start time. There will be adults checking you in at the starting line.
You may not participate if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Weapons or metal objects are not allowed on the event property.
Animals are not permitted on the event property.
The Zombie Warrior Run is a non-smoking event.
COURSE
You will run on fields of uneven grass and terrain.
Note: This is a charity 5k and fun run. We have made every attempt to measure the course so that it is as close to an official 5k as possible. Due to the nature of the event, running in fields, uneven grass and terrain, being chased by zombies, the length of the course could change. The course is not a certified 5K and is not officially timed. We approximate the distance based on terrain and accessibility.
For everyone’s safety, strollers are not allowed.
REFUND POLICY
We cannot issue refunds. The run will take place rain or shine, however please understand we are at the mercy of mother nature and county officials, so if conditions deteriorate to the point of becoming an unsafe environment for our participants, we will react accordingly. Safety will always take precedence.
If you find that you are unable to use your registration, we are happy to transfer it to another person. You must email us PRIOR to the event at zombiewarriorrun@jakeoffuttfoundation.com for transfers.
Volunteers
If you would like to be part of the fun but don’t want to be a Runner or a Zombie, you can be a Volunteer. Email us at zombiewarriorrun@jakeoffuttfoundation.com if you would like to volunteer.
If you choose to be a Volunteer, your mission is to help the runners save the Human Race. You may be needed prior, during or after the race. You may request a position. We will attempt to honor all requests. We will sign off on community service hours if needed.
