Runners

(5k and 1-mile Fun Run)

If you choose to be a Runner, your mission is to save the human race. Before the race, you will be given a flag belt. These flags represent your health.  You must get to the finish line with at least one flag on your belt.  If you arrive to the finish line with at least one flag, you will have survived and played a vital role in saving the human race.

The flags must be visible at all times or you will be disqualified. You wear one on your left side, one on your right side and one on your back side. If you attempt to hide your flags you will be escorted out of the race. Zombies don’t like cheaters. If the zombies successfully take all your flags, you will be infected with the living dead virus. Continue running the race until you arrive at the Finish Line.

WHAT YOU’RE UP AGAINST

There will be zombies. Their job is to chase you — but mainly go after your health, in the form of your flag belt. Avoid the zombies to keep your health flags.  Use speed, strategy and your intact brains to make it to the FINISH LINE “alive” with at least ONE FLAG INTACT. If you finish with zero health flags, this means the zombies have successfully transformed you into the “undead”.
